Drivers

I HATE other drivers! I can't figure out where most people learned to drive. They are either swerving all over the road, they don't know how to use a blinker, don't know how to properly use their brakes or they are old and senile and shouldn't even be on the road! Like today, I'm getting off at the Rexburg exit and there is a Yukon in front of me. They did NOT know how to properly use their brakes. They would push on them and then let up, over and over, and then they were doing some kind of tap dance on them like they were trying to spell something out with morse code. If you are going to use your brake then apply steady pressure, otherwise take your stupid foot off the gas and let yourself slow down naturally! They should really teach people how to be courteous to other drivers in drivers ed. Everyday when I leave work I have to pull out of my parking lot onto the busiest street in Rexburg. There is a stoplight about a twenty yards ahead of where I have to pull out. Nobody ever lets me in! I have to wait until the light up ahead has turned green so that all the cars pull forward AND wait for the light behind to turn red so that no new cars pull up. And when the light up ahead turns red, instead of somebody stopping farther back so I can get my nose out there, they pull forward until they are kissing the bumper in front of them! How rude! It is so frustrating! And blinkers! I don't really care for blinkers. I hate the noise that they make. But I use them if there is another car behind because it's the courteous thing to do right? I hate it when someone doesn't use a blinker to show they are turning. If they aren't using a blinker then I have no idea why they are slowing down, which makes me ride their butt for going so slow. Which probably isn't the best thing, I know people hate people like me who ride their tails, but just go faster! And then we get to old people. I love my grandparents, but I seriously think old people are stupid. Literally. If you can't go the speed limit then get off the road. If you can't stay in one lane, get off the road. If you can't see over the steering wheel, get off the road. If you can't hear your blinker going off for the last ten minutes then GET OFF THE ROAD! This is a newspaper article from the USA Today to prove my point about old people:

Good morning, As you suit up and ride out today, keep in mind that driving is not a calling for all of your fellow motorists.A case in point is a 69-year-old German woman who, according to a Reuters report, was involved in three car accidents this week in less than an hour. She crashed into three cars while trying to exit a supermarket parking lot on a Baltic resort island. Then she accidentally stepped on the accelerator and sped across a nearby lawn, crashing into the house. As she was being taken to the hospital, the ambulance was hit by a truck, which wasn't really her fault.Miraculously, there were no serious injuries but it does give one pause. Even if you're not on a Baltic resort island, how do you avoid drivers like this unfortunate motorist?

Do you see my point?! Maybe I just suffer from road rage, but seriously... come on! Either get with the program or get out of my way!

SpRiNg TiMe!!!

It's finally here! I am so excited! Spring is my second favorite season (fall being the first). I love seeing all the flowers growing and the grass starting to green up. And the smell of the rain... nothing beats that. AHHH! I don't know why but today I am off the walls happy!!! Don't you just love that feeling, the one where you feel like anything could happen and that life is just freaking awesome?!? That's totally where I'm at today and I have to admit I L-O-V-E it! Rach brought me a chocolate frosty at work today. Thanks Rachie!!! Maybe that's why I'm so happy. Anyone who knows me knows that chocolate and ice cream are two of my FAVORITE things in the whole world! Jeez, could I use anymore exclamation points today? But I just can't help it! I'm sitting at work with my chick music blasting (softly, since I AM at work lol :) ), posting on my blog, which happens to be an addiction for me (if more exciting things happened to me, I would post more often), I'm wearing one of my favorite shirts, I'm having a pretty good hair day and my makeup is totally rockin! Sigh... Life is good!
Jennie, I know you are reading this, I love you! And I think you have a pretty good idea why I'm so excited! YAY!!! I'm grinning from ear to ear and laughing randomly at absolutely nothing and totally excited for what ever might happen. Life is just good. For everyone else who aren't in on the joke, just be happy that I'm happy. And know that I love all of you and I wish you were here at work with me so we could all laugh and jam out to chick music together! Peace out!!!

Props to Rach

So I just wanted to give a shoutout to my twin sis who beat me. She has graduated with her bachelor's degree in communications (boring!) and I still have about two years left. Oh well. But in my defense I have done a lot of fun things that I wouldn't have been able to do if I had been in school. I stayed an extra month in Alaska and spent the rest of the semester traveling. I went and stayed in san diego with a friend for two weeks, went to vegas for a week with my mom, spent time with the fam in utah and just enjoyed myself. I took night classes so I could work full time, went and spent a couple weeks with Rach out in california, worked at an exotic vet clinic in utah, got to live in salt lake city(love it there!) and spent three summers in alaska. I think I got the better end of things if I compared what I got to do to spending the last four years in school, but whatev. I am still going to school. I WILL get my degree, I'm just taking my time to get it done. Congrats Rachael! Love you!

On a side note, I am loving my job. I have the best boss. He is totally laid back, easy to talk to and he's pretty funny. It feels amazing to be working again! It's just nice to get out of the house. I'm looking forward to what life will bring. I get to spend this weekend with the fam for easter, I have a girls trip planned with some friends from salt lake, I'm going to Lake Powell in June and I am going to be the best aunt ever to my future niece who comes September 5th! And then I get to go back to school on September 10th and all my generals are done! Hallelujah!!! Now I get to focus on just biology and animals and I can't freakin wait! Life is good! I'm just excited to get back to living MY life. The single life is so the way to go. Or maybe I'm just being selfish?.... No Way! I deserve to have some fun and just live it up. So here's to me and my new single life! Toast!
